Just like any worker in really any industry or line of work, he or she has tools and equipment that they need to do his or her job. For artists, something that you may first come to mind is a diaphragm membrane that will be used in the air compressor that they use to airbrush. Never thought of that? Well okay maybe you did and maybe you work with one everyday! Regardless, it is a curious quest to go on finding out what different professions use just what exactly. At first, someone says artist as his or her profession and automatically we may think of paints, pallets, and canvas. That is not all artist work with, there are so many mediums for art out there it is fascinating to go out and explore those horizons. Back to the compressors, you may be surprised that there are different kinds such as a silent air brush compressor, an industrial sized one, oil free ones, and diaphragm ones as well. Some are large like the industrial ones while others like the diaphragm ones are typically smaller and portable and affordable. Depending on the type of work and frequency of use of the compressor, an artist may have any of these up his or her sleeve so to speak.
